Charlotte's BSA Troop 11 and Troop 111 play active roles in the Charlotte community.  We dedicate hundreds of service hours each year to programs such as Loaves and Fishes' Scouting for food, Stream Clean Ups and countless Eagle Scout projects.

Troop 11 is one of Charlotte's oldest BSA troops, and Troop 111 is one of the first all-girl units in the country. Based at Providence United Methodist Church, at the corner of Sharon Amity and Providence Roads, our scouts are active, year-round adventurers throughout NC, SC and Virginia.

This annual BBQ is our largest fundraiser and helps to support our activities with:

  • Money for outdoor equipment and supplies

  • Scholarships for summer scout camps

  • Financial aid to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to participate in Scouting
